About Us
       Small Fry schools were founded in 1965 by Stanley and Naomi Lewin. The Lewin's successfully worked through the years building their pre school business as they raised their nine children. Evidently, today Small Fry is one of the oldest pre- schools in Dade and Broward counties! To maintain the high standards set by their parents, Small Fry is currently being run by several of Mr. and Mrs. Lewins’ children! There are currently seven Small Fry schools throughout Dade and Broward counties!

Our Philosophy
        Small Fry is an educational facility attending to the academic development, social, physical, and emotional needs of each child.  our classes range from Toddlers to Pre-Kindergarten.  Our educational programs is supplemented with a before and after care to provide extended services for working parents and their children.
 
         Our classes are designed to give each child the foundation for academic learning, creative self-expression, and social skill development.  The classes include a mixture of structured and creative activities, designed to stimulate you child's awareness of himself ans his environment.  Children are grouped developmentally and chronologically to maximize the skills of each child.  Movement from level to level is individually determined by reviewing your child's progress.  Small Fry uses a team approach that include the Director, Teacher and the child's parent/guardian.

         Our materials allow for physical development, manipulative creativity and imaginative expression.  We offer balance between quiet and active times as well as teacher-directed and student -initiated activities.  We also recognize the role of the family in child development and encourage parent participation in meeting and discussions with the Director to facilitate their child's growth.
